fired shells stuck in 12 gauge barrel
« on: March 22, 2005, 05:28:48 PM »
Just received a 24 inch 12 gauge barrel for my handi. Went out and shot 3" turkey loads(WOW, what a kick!!!) and found that the empties only eject half way. Is this a common thing??? If so, how do I fix it? I also noticed that the firing pin digs really deep into the primer. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I swear I posted a replie to this and it didn't show up. Anyway. This is a common problem, especialy with new barrels right from the factory. It is usually cured by a good cleaning. If that doesn't do it, do a search in the forum for polishing the chamber. You'll have those empties flying over your shoulder in no time.
