Front Sight Visibility?

Here is the deal. I have a new 475 with a set of v-notch express sights with a gold bead front. I know some guys don't like these on a handgun but this is the sight I am the most comfortable shooting. Unfortunately I have a vision problem that causes me to have a tough time seeing the gold bead. I would like to paint the bead with a flourescent green or pink powder paint like I use on my fishing jigs. These are the 2 colors I can see the best and I all ready take a lot of ribbing from my buddies as the feathers on my arrows are also those colors. So let the jokes begin!

My question is this. Once aplied the paint should be baked in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes to give it a very tough almost indestructable finish. Do you think this will effect the front sight blade and has anyone tried this on a front sight?

Can you get it hot enough to set up with a hair dryer?---would heating the entire gun to 350 degrees (without grips of course) be detrimental to small parts or warp something? Gives me the Willies!!!!   :shock: pg

The only thing being heated would be the front sight insert. I certainly wouldn't bake my new gun!
