i have reached land , the lands that is on my 204 ruger. it just so happen that my 204ruger barrel has a short throat (for a handi)i'm using the 40gr hornady V-max and i'm seating them at 2.395 (give or take a little) and i'm just off the rifling.  judging by how far these 40gr bullets are going in the case i would bet the 32's would be able to just about touch to if they where seated out far, but i don't know i don't have any on hand , midway was out of stock when i ordered the 40's.  i had hopes of getting a range report tomorrow but yesterday i loaned the powder i had planned on using (BL-c2) to my hunting partner for his new 223. i may call the shop down the road tomorrow mourning and see if they have any H4895 i wanted to try that one too .i'll try to get you guys a range report by monday if possible . i have a good feeling about this one the factory bullet i shot did shoot good and i think handloads will prove to be real good ,call it a gut feeling (or maybe its just that taco) .
curiosity killed the cat , but i was lead suspect for a while

i about bought one of those today, but i passed it was brand new with the wood stocks and the bull barrel, but i passed on it. The action wouldn't lock up at all, and the price was outrageous. ($260). Then i looked over to the right of the 204 and saw it. A TDC the first one i have saw around here. It was the best feeling single shot i have held. That vent rib barrel was awesome.  Passed it up too. It was a stuggle to put it back on the shelf, but i did. It was only chambered for 3 in. shells. If it would have said 3 1/2, it would have been coming home with me.

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
