:shock: howdy yall i am concedering. a nef rifle for varmints and yots. what caliber would you choose. i own a 17 hmr and love it. but it note much on yots. also got a 243 browning but it was my grandfathers. so it just stays in the save. i am thinking of a 243 or 25#6.  just bought a tdc for turkeys and love it also. best gun for the price..... eny comments

Both would work rather well for varmints and yotes...with my choice going to the 25-06...I just posted to another thread about it...so you can check that out...that 25-06 will do the job for you...

Welcome! The 223 work well out to about 250 Yards. Ammo is cheap and there is a wide variety.
Shoot straight , shoot often.

:grin: sorry i forgot to say it might be used for deer if i ever get the time to go eny more. i use most of my vacation time for turkey but mostley my familey. so the 223 is out.

Welcome aboard!! :D  Neither the .243 or the .25-06 is gonna be fur friendly if you have intentions of cashing them in.....If you just want to pop em, I'd go with the .25-06, much better deer caliber. :wink:
