My good friend David and I have been collecting and shooting military surplus rifles for a couple of years now.Recently I kinda got off on a tangent with the Handi Rifles.First I had a 45/70 barrel fitted to my 30/30 and then I bought a Buffalo Classic.He has been really impressed with all of them and considers the 45/70 a lot of enjoyment to shoot.
I noticed that he has been looking at 45/70 trapdoors at the gun shops but considered them too expensive.
Today I got a call from David.He was on his way home from a local gun shop where he had found and purchased a Handi in 45/70.I could tell that he was pleased with it and anxious to get to the range as soon as possible to shoot it.He's also looking forward to getting a 7.62X39 barrel fitted as soon as they become available as I do intend also.He's hooked.
 Sooo.I guess I corrupted,converted or however you want to nomenclature it, my good friend.Tonight I sent him the link to this website.So if you fellows see any postings by "DOSBOOT" please welcome him as I am sure you would anyway.Thanks.

I will do my best to keep him on the straight and narrow path to becoming a foaming at the mouth addict. Good job. I have sent a few guys over here who were asking NEF questions on other sites. We handi-holics can use all the support we can get. As long as they don't drive up the price of our addiction. :)

Good job on currup....uh converting another member, and hope to hear from him soon. :)  This is obviosly the largest group on the forum.

Good job, Stan.  Another addition to the family. I have a friend who is about to convert as well.  He was strickly a shotgun guy until recently when he bought a Wally World Savage/scope package in .30-06.  Now he says he "needs" a small caliber rifle to go with the .30-06.  After shooting my .223 he says that will be the one.  Ah, another one soon stricken with the Handi-holic syndrome.  HehHehHeh.
