Ya know, I get so much junk mail that I'm convinced that the little card that the water company sends out as a bill will get thrown out one day and I'll have to pay a late penalty. Kentucky has a "No Call" list to keep telemarketers from calling. Why can't we get legislation passed to get a "no junk mail" list going. I wonder how much better the Post Office would function without having to deal with and deliver it.

Your thoughts?

I figure the US post office must make millions... on second thought make that billions of dollars on junk mail, I dought you would get much support from them.

You guys are missing out on a lot of fun. I keep everything that has a postage free envelope. Mix up the contents. send insurance companies credit card apps. Book or magazine ads, windows,siding, health and beauty aids, you get the picture. Just don't send anything with your name, address, phone, or barcode on it. Loosen up, have fun. The only down side to junk mail is we're filling up our landfills too fast. If the solicitors want to subsidize my postal rates by sending mountains of the stuff to me, that's fine. If not for the money the USPS makes on junk mailings it would cost $4.00 to mail a letter IMO.

I do what powderman does, and I select what I want to send to who, like male enhancement stuff to the lisbeian society, tampon ad's to insurance co's. ETC...

Saw an article on TV a few years ago about this "mother earth" type guy that heated his house with junk mail.

Every day he would take a wheelbarrow out to his mailboxes and load it up push it back to the house with a silly grin on his face.

Of course powderman's idea might have the makings of a fun hobby.

I too do what powderman and Gun Runner do. Sometimes with the right kind of envelope you can take Whiteout and remove the preprinted address and put your own on it and let them pay the postage. I love to send cigarette coupons to life and health insurance companies.

Eventually these companies will be opening their own mail at their expense.

:-D I usually just send them their own junk back to them in their PPE, never thought about swapping the contents around so that Visa gets my satalite TV ads, etc. I like it, I'll have to start doing that. :agree:

We don't get any telemarketing calls anymore,but although we don't, I used to have fun with them. Magazine calls, Iwould ask if they came in braille, then accusing them of playing sicko tricks on a blind man. Siding or windows?, I'd get irate asking them what kind of a sicko they were, since everybody knew my house had burned and I was talking from a pup tent. You get the idea. POWDERMAN. :-D :-D :-D :-D

I had toyed with the idea of all the spam e-mail and forwarding to another spammer. My luck there's probably a law of some sort that would classify me as a spammer, even though they started it.

I get people who hang up and redial to hear the message again.
