Wanting New Encore Pistol Barrel

I've got a Encore frame lying around collecting dust and was thinking of putting a pistol barrel and accessories on it.  Had thought about a .243 barrel, as I have it in rifle, and was wondering which length would be good.  Any suggestions?

far as i know, it only comes in 15" from factory. got one.........shoots good........and i like it. :wink:

15" would be a minimum that i would want that caliber in.

as far as scopes..........at minimum 2x6 bushnell trophy for about $150, and for best a 3x12 burris for $300+. these are my personal choices, and opinions may vary :grin:

I just put together my first Encore pistol.  I bought a used 10" 7mm-08 Rem barrel w/a 4x Scope.  It is Awesome!!!  The barrel says Encore T/C so I guess it is a factory barrel.  It is thick and HEAVY!  I got a rubber grip and forearm off of ebay.  I can hold 'em under a 1 1/2" group at 50 yards.  I plan on stretching it out this week sometime.  I am shooting 120 gr Remington Hollow points out of it.  It has some kick, but dang, it's BADA$$ !!!!  The only thing I want done to it now is a trigger job.  And I'm in the process of trying to locate someone to do that for me.  
  You wouldn't want to sell your frame would ya?  I'm already "hooked" and I have several envious friends who want one now that they've seen and shot mine.

I have the 15" Encore Pistol barrel in the 243. Shoots excellent.
If you do get one put plenty of scope on it. It will reach and touch things.
I have the Burris 3x-12 on both of my barrels. I have a 7BR and it is a shooter also. I find my self playing more with the pistols  than I do with the rifles anymore.
