Will Taurus titanium handle fullhouse 45lc loads?
« on: March 17, 2005, 09:21:08 AM »
I'm looking at a Taurus 4"titanium in 45lc[it's 1/2 the weight of my Redhawk].
Will it handle[albeit with more recoil] full house 45 Colt loads?
I use factory loads e.g.Silvertips for urban carry, but in thr woods I'm more likely to have a 250gr XTP or 270gr cast with 20.0gr of H110 or 2400.
How severe is the muzzlelblast on a ported Taurus?
Thanks.

If you are talking about the loads listed for Ruger and TC then NO but it will take anything listed for Colt guns and clones and a bit more but how much more is the question. There is no good answer.

Mine is a stainless, but the owners manual sezÂ… 255 gr at 900 fps is max.
I guess if you tangle with a griz you will just have to ask him to wait while you reload!
