I got one coming too.   :D

Swiss 7.5x55 Schmidt-Rubin K-31 made in 1945 by WaffenFabrick Bern - Bern. Switzerland, this rifle has a light european walnut stock which has normal storage and wear marks. Blueing would rate 90+%, bore is excellent with sharp rifling. All numbers are stamped and match. Comes with soldier's name tag.

Ray, congrats that is a fine rifle!! Looks like ya got a good one. Where did ya get it at? Nice to get a walnut stock and a tag. Since sometimes the serial number does not match with the date stamped on the buttstock under the butt plate. Check your serial number with the chart date to see when it was made.  My gun was made in 54 but the buttstock says 44 so my gun had a stock that was in storage for 10 years before they used it. My stock serial numbers match the same as on the metal, but the date under the butt plate was 10 years older than the chart for the serial numbers. Jim

Jim,

Found that one on auctionarms.com.

Have been bidding on K-31s on both auctionarms.com and gunbroker.com for some time.  Was bidding early and getting out bid late into auction during the day while was at work.  Finally left a bid in morning and got it.  Really was a learning experience - found K-31s as low as $69 up to $290.  The ones priced below $100 usually had something wrong with stock.  Ones above $150 were said to be special in some way.   Most were sold for between $100 to $150.  Below $100 or above $150 you really need to know what your buying.
