I saw one here in an OKLAHOMA gun shop they had $299, I think it was a model999, had ajustable sights , too rich for my blood  . Found a stainless ruger bearcat for less. There are allot of good inexpensive 22's out there depends on wat you want

You will be hard pressed to find any kind of hand gun for under $100.  If you do it probably would not be worth the paper the money was printed on.

About the cheapest 22 rimfire pistol you will find is The Heritage Roughrider. It can be had in the 17HMR or the 22lr and 22magnum combo brand new in the $150.00 range and if you look around you could probably find a used one in the $100.00 range.

I tried to shoot a H&R "target" revolver not too long ago.  It didn't shoot anywhere close to the POA, which isn't too good of a situation.  You should be able to pick up a used AR-7 Survivor rifle, that only weighs 2 1/2 pounds, for around $100.  Once upon a time (and only once) I killed a crow at 120 yards with mine.

Zach,
with some patience, you should be able to find one of those H&R .22 revolvers for $100 or less.  My buddy back in Michigan just was offered one for $80 that was in great shape...  It shot so poorly that he turned the guy down.
Hey, is there any chance you'd be able to do some odd jobs until fall so you can save money to add to your $100 limit?  $200 and you will have no problem finding a suitable .22 pistol.

Paul had a good suggestion.  Henry now makes the AR-7 survivor rifle and it weighs about what a 22 wheel gun will, plus it stores in a water tight case(its own stock) so you can keep in in your pack till you need it.  The big upside here is it is way more accurate and versatile as well.  Comes with 10rd clip.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!
