It has been a fun project, special making use of all existing parts of the 223 Ultra. Even the scope bases were made from the H&R long base.
The rifle has a definite liking for 51000psi. I have computed all sorts of load scenarios with "Quick Load" to get the highest velocity with the lowest pressure. In a bolt action that can handle 65Kpsi that is not a problem.
I am working on loads for the 100gr Barnes TSX bullet, and that bullet may not perform, also real shooting may poof otherwise. Of course there are a lot of other fine 100gr bullets. Not a whole lot wrong with the Rem 100gr PSP test bullet I used.
