With my smallbore scoped rifles, I use whatever ammo is most accurate. I had planned to do the same with my smallbore cowboy rifle. The problem is that the rams seem to have an annoying habit of winning the shoving matches with my Wolf Match Extra rounds (to the tune of three rung rams in one match). That means that I need to go to something with a little more energy out at 100m, even if it means I have to go with ammo that's a little less accurate at that range. What's the cutoff for velocity for smallbore ammo? Where does it go from "high velocity" to "hyper velocity"? Once I know what the cutoff is, I can hopefully find one ammo type that is both accurate and has the power to knock down rams reliably. I don't really want to mix ammo lubes in the barrel by shooting different ammo at rams than I do at the others.
Thanks!
