My ? 4 The Day

Okay, question is, on a 15" Encore barrel, do you take the back sight off to put the scope base on, and which would be the best base?  I have the base for an Encore rifle that came off another barrel, and is not in use.

Yes you take the back sight off. And yes the Encore rifle base will work on the Encore Pistol.  As far as the best base, you will get several different answers, me I like the Warne.  :D

Just for the record I found out this week TC makes a special 6 hole base for the Encore 12 guage shotgun.  It uses all 6 holes when you remove the rear sight from the barrel.

About a $20 item.  Did not check to see if standard Weaver for Encore would fit using just 4 of the holes.  Probably should have.
