Large Lyman Handles
« on: April 02, 2005, 02:28:02 PM »
I just had mine break at the hole for the mould screw. I tapped on them to free a bullet and the block fell on the bench. It is the weirdest thing i ever seen since casting. Are these cast iron or steel? I would attempt to weld it and drill out the hole again but I'm unsure if Lyman will just replace them. I asked Lyman through an email about repairing their case trimmer and they gave me a price for replacement instead. Has anyone ever had this happen to them with Lyman handles???

Flash;
Why not just buy Lee handles at 1/2 the price, do just a little of grinding to reduce the thickness and go right on?
