has anyone else used the USMC Digital camo (or the Civ. version) for deer hunting?

I got me a set and it seams to work great, I have had several deer look right at me and act like the didn't see me, My hunting buddy was with in 10 feet of me and had a hard time finding me fo corse I wa standing in some brush.

I bought one set of BDU's for hunting and it seemed to work allright.  But, after serveral washings, they faded badly.  So now I threw some netting on them and transformed them into my new ghillie suit.

How did you wash them?

I have washed mine about 6 times and no sings of fading. I wash mine with about 1/2 cap of sports wash if they are really dirty and if they just smell I use a little arm & hammer and line dry them or if it is nasty out side I put them in the dryer with a scent wafer and put it on air fluff.

hmmm... if i remember correctly the digital design the Marine Corps uses was originally created by the Canadian Army and is called CADPAT/MADPAT. i know a guy on another forum who paints rifles in this as well as other camo schemes.he gave me a link to a website that he can be contacted through and it turns out they are licenced to manufacture CADPAT clothing. it didn't work real with my old clunker of a computer but i think they sell on the civillian market as well. here's the site;

I usually hunt  by bow,  most deer I see are under 20 yards.  never
 have been spotted in these situations until I move.   half the time
 I will be wearing a  Flannel shirt.  and a pair of jeans.   I still believe
 the camo thing is  one of the biggest cons in the hunting market.
       I occasionally will wear my old Army bdu's,  only because they
 are more expendable.   but  I just don't get this  "realtree' or Mossyoak"
 garbage being fed to the hunting public.    what gets me is the guy
 completely  covered in camo gear with an orange vest on.  Or the guys
 getting up in the morning wearing their camo outfits.  cooking eggs, coffee,  having a cigar,  and just generally smelling themselves up. before
 the hunt.

total camo will help in the right situation.
I do not get in the the new and great camo patterns. THe Marine camo does work in most places I hunt.

One reason I use camo is to keep my hunting close sepret from my street closes
