I have a Ruger P95, 9 mm, P94, .40 cal., and a 345, .45 ACP. I can truthfully say I have never had a single malfunction of any kind with any of them. I only shoot factory ammo. Also have a couple of .22's. My Rugers are probably the only pistols I would never get rid of. Also have two of the SA GI Series, full size and commander size and like them both. The Ruger 345 has a totally different grip than the other P series and in my medium size hands feels great. Also comes with two magazines, stainless. My Commander size SA shoots great, but can be a little finicky about magazines. Won't hold the slide back on some of them. Full size works great with factory, Chip McCormick and military surplus. I wouldn't hesitate to buy either of them again.
If I had to take one straight fromthe box and rely on it without tinkering, I would choose the Ruger every time.
But what feels best to you and good shooting.
