Took some advice from Bogmaster.............
« on: March 06, 2005, 09:50:25 AM »
He told me to set traps at least 1/2 mile from the nearest road. That made sense, most guys wont walk that far. Me and a buddy put in 15 330s  Saturday afternoon, some up to 3/4 mile from the road. Results Sunday morning: 6 beaver totaling about 200 pounds and arms long enough to scratch my ankles while standing upright!!!!!!!  THANKS ALOT TOM

Ron,glad you made it to this forum.I am also real glad the beaver are cooperating.
Ron ,you have now been put on the beaver diet---the pounds will roll off from you in proportion to the number of beaver you catch, and how far you haul them.
I do my spring line solo, usually end up losing about 15 pounds. The way I figure it,you lose about 1 pound per 8 or 9 beaver caught. My goal this spring is to lose 20 to 25 pounds.

Ron Buddy  i should a warned ya About usein tom's beaver tactics they make ya tird and yer back sore all season. i finnaly had to go to my own way a beaver trappin though heck if i lost 20-25  lbs i'd have to tye a beaver to each foot to keep the wind from blowing me away.Humm that wouldnt be to  bad either though wonder if i can get them both to walk in the same direction at a steady pace.LOL  RayA

HI MNT28
Well my math's prob not right but seams. ya wana loose 40 lbs. so ya catch at least 80 beaver 1/2 mile from the truck or 60 beaver3/4 mile from the truckor 40 a mile from the truck. I think that would be a start anyway.  RayA

If thats true, you can loose weight carring out beavers, then I think I need to catch about 50 plus to get rid of the winter flab
