Some people have all the luck, I guess. I've had dealings with Ruger customer service two times. The first was a DISASTER and the second isn't looking a lot better. The first time, I bought a used (unfired 98/99%) 3 screw in the original box with the original anti-corrosion paper, etc. The dealer wouldn't let me take possession until I agreed to send it to Ruger for the trigger modification. Read the book, etc. "Will NOT damage the collector value". When I got it back, someone had run a Dremel over the loading gate so it had about a half-inch gash in the bluing, and they had FIRED three chambers. They turned a $1,400.00 (then dollars) collector piece into a $300 dollar pig gun. At the moment, they have a stainless 77/44 with some minor problems. They've had it since August!
