Found a source for paper straws
« on: April 12, 2005, 12:48:31 PM »
I just thought of a place to find paper straws, pixy stix.  If you dump the sugar out you have a 4 or 5 in paper straw with the end crimped off.  I think you can get 50 for a dollar or two.  A little expensive if all you want them for is the straw but much better than buying paper straws by the pallet.

Hello CU_Cannon

You are looking at a lifetime supply, (1800), of Thin white 4mm 17” long unwaxed paper straws. These are called ARTSTRAWS, made in the UK as paper tubes for Art, Craft and Technology. They come from School Suppliers. I ordered them from The Chenille Kraft Company, in Mansfield, Ohio, Product #9030. Tel: 1-800-621-1261. They were dropped shipped to me from School Specialty, 4500 Airways Blvd, Southaven, MS. 38671 they cost like .023 cents each delivered. What they didn’t tell me, when I ordered is that they charged an extra of $5.95 because my order was under $50.00. Had I known this I would have ordered 2 boxes and sold off the extra to our cannon shooting friends. We live and learn. Keep in mind that each straw is 17” in length. I can get four usable shooting straws from each length.  That is a total of 7,200 shots from this box. I should live that long? Factory direct in the UK e-mail: sales@artstraws.com.
