Burris Signature versus Talley One-piece Rings/Bases
« on: April 12, 2005, 10:14:57 AM »
I need to mount a new Burris scope.  I am looking at Burris Signature Rings or a set of Talley Lightweight One-piece mount/ring.  The Talleys are actually 2 pieces, one for the front and one for the back, but the ring and base are one integral piece.  If I went with the Talley, I'd probably need to lap the rings and not so with the Burris.

Burris Signature versus Talley One-piece Ri

My preference is Leupold bases and Signature rings. I tried the Talleys and if you are counting ounces then they are the way but the set I had were very tight on the scope at the parting line and marked up the scope tube. Not a bunch but a little. The Burris is great in that you can use offset inserts to get boresighted without touching the scopes adjustments. You save right at 2.5 oz with the Talley's.
