A little help/ value of used Mec Juniors?
« on: May 05, 2005, 05:59:01 AM »
A gal I was working for has 3 of them she would like to sell.  A 12, 20 and 410.  They all seem to be in pretty good condition.  I was thinking of picking up the 410 since I already have an old Herters for 12's and 20's and I can't find 410 dies for the Herters.  What kind of prices have you guys seen on these used?  /  What would YOU pay if you found one.

Unless it's just like new I will seldom pay more than 50% of what I could get a new one for. Some folks are willing to pay more and I usually try to get a bit more when selling but find not many folks willing to pay it. Under no circumstances will I go more than about 75% of new cost on a used item.

FWIW - 12's are a dime a dozen, $40 tops.  20's are scarcer and 410's about twice what 12's go for.  Check out e-Bay and see if you can buy a 410 for 75% of retail.  I want one but can't justify it for the amount of 410's I shoot.  Regards,  Woody
Take a kid along.

I'd offer her $100 for the three. That's about what they'd be worth to me.

I bought a 600jr around 1970 for about $50, new.
On the 19th of April, 1775, a tyrannical government sent an army to disarm its citizens. They ran into a touch of trouble.

you can get a 600 jr new for around $100. I would not give more the $50 for a used one unless it is like new
