H&R 1871 BC ... Offset Firing Pin Strike on Primer?

The firing pin on my 1871 BC 45-70 strikes the primer 2/64" from the edge of the primer.
With the 38-55 barrel in the receiver, a near center pin strike on the primer
Am I Alone?
