RECOIL PADS
« on: April 14, 2005, 12:12:42 PM »
Which recoil pads soak up the most kick?
I am going to order another pad for my rifle (7/08) and want to know which pad you think reduces felt recoil? Kick-Eze, Limb Saver, Decelerator, or any other.
Thanks

i know this isn't the reply you are looking for but...  for all of you out there that have yet to build your highpower rifle...  if you have to ask this question you need to consider a different caliber!

I don't shoot highpower silhouette, but I do have a few hard kicker rifles. I've tried all the brands you mentioned and a few more. None comes close to Limbsaver. I just custom fit one to my lightweight Knight muzzleloader this past year, and now I can practice all day long with heavy charges of powder and those 460-grain No Excuses bullets without thinking about recoil. I put one on my lightweight .270 Win that I use for deer and that thing's nothing now, even with my hot handloads.

dave:  the 7/08 is my back up rifle, and I figured that you might as well make it as easy on yourself as possible. I normally shoot a 7br.
