1911 squeeze cocker
« on: April 16, 2005, 05:36:24 AM »
Back in 1968 or so, I purchased several "Squeeze Cock"? accessories for my 1911's. They replaced the hammer spring housing and grip safety with a one piece housing that had a long coil spring, the hammer was held at approximately 1/4 cock and the housing sat slightly away from the frame. You would squeeze the housing into the frame and the hammer would move to the full cock position. This made the 1911 safe to carry and worked as a double action for the first round then worked as normal as long as you held the housing into the frame.
Is this gadget still available?????I have forgotten who made it.
IMO, would be great for CCW, with firing pin block 1911's
