PETA has a heart
« on: April 16, 2005, 01:59:46 PM »
Here, in Virginia, a four year old child was mauled and had his neck broken by the family dog which was chained up in the yard.  After several incidences of dog attacks recently, PETA was about to fight back.  They were going to erect a billboard in the same locale where the boy was killed reading; "Chain Your Door, Not Your Dog".  (chaining dogs makes them more aggressive, so it's not their fault) [maybe some truth to that].
Anyway, PETA decided to withdraw their billboard, in respect for the family.  Or, maybe because they knew damn well that they had stepped over the line!

So Shorty, is your complaint that PETA is insensitve?

Here you have a case of some parents who have shown an appalling lack of judgement by failing to watch either their child or their pet and the result is tragedy.  A dead kid.

For what good reason should anyone be sensitve to these stupid people?

And of course, it's the dog's fault.

They chained the animal up and did whatever they did to make the animal aggressive enough to attack a child.

The people of that community should be hunting those people down, breaking down their doors, and making sure that they are prosecuted.

They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.

FWiedner,
I don't have one once of sympathy for PETA or owners of vicious dogs.  My post was meant to be sarcastic.

Sorry Shorty, I didn't mean for my comments to seem like I was accusing you of something.

I was trying to be sarcastic as well.
