375 JDJ Barrel Ported, broken lug/ any use for this?

I sent my 375 JDJ in to be checked.  JD said it is not repairable, but would like to saw-cut through the chamber area if I want it returned.  The lug is cracked, but it is a ported barrel and neither the chamber or bore have any damage.  Before he scraps it....I figured I would ask if anyone has a use for this for a project barrel.  Let me know...or it is going in the scrap heap.
