This ever happen to you ???
« on: April 23, 2005, 03:11:07 PM »
I shot about 80 rounds through my Glock 22 today (and 90 rds. in my AR-15) .  It seems like the little "trigger safety lever" pinches my finger when I shoot. I've noticed it happing before but it was really noticeable today. It doesn't hurt that bad but it is really irritating. Anybody else ever have this problem?

I cant say it has ever happend to me. I hate that trigger safety though. If I am shooting in a GSSF match or target shooting I tape it down. I get that thing out of my way. I hope one day I can find away to get rid of them for good.

I take a half round file to all my glock trigger safeties. Not too much, but just enough to give it the same shape as the trigger when  pressed. This makes it much more comfortable for my trigger finger.

Yeah, I have the same problem with my GLOCK. Filing is the way to go like Flinch said. My problem is more so on the compact models but I have noticed it before on extended shoots when I qualify.

I'd love the GLOCK if they had a trigger more like my KAHR but until then I have no choice but to use it.

Do you have the smooth trigger... or the ribbed 'target' trigger?  The target one seems to be more prone to pinch.

I know one guy on Glocktalk shaped the safety with a file to match the curve of the trigger when depressed because it was doing ths.  I can't speak to it... it seems if you shaved too much off it could affect the function of the trigger safety (i.e. make it so the gun didn't go off).
