Looking for a sling and buttcuff for a 336.
« on: April 16, 2005, 11:32:45 PM »
I just picked up a 336 that lacks any slingmounts.

Obviously I could drill two holes but I'd rather not.

Can any one suggest some type of sling system that straps on without marring the walnut?

I think I've seen some type of western leatherwork rig in a magazine but don't know where to look.

I am also looking for a good leather buttcuff cartridge carrier.

Thanx.

Tiger,

They make a sling swivel that attaches to the ammo tube for the forward swivel. You have to drill the stock for the rear one.

For a butt cuff take a look at the stuff at Galco. Expensive but worth it.
