Pedersoli Kodiak Double Rifle

Could I get some opinions on Pedersoli's Kodiak Double rifles from people who own or have owned one ? Thanks

I am interested as well.  I just bought one used a week ago and have only fired a few rounds.  It's an older BP rifle in 50 cal but looks great.  I understand based on the serial number it was imported in the mid / late seventies. I didn't get a manual or any info.  In addition to general info on how they shoot - what's the twist (I see references to both 1:24 and 1:48 on various web sites), load info, max. load of ffg, patched balls or conicals, thread for nipples, sites (is one for short range and the other for long range or is there one for each barrel), how do you adjust for elevation?  Thanks.

Evening gentlemen.  I have one and have had sine the late 70s.  I also have all the bbl sets that go with it including the shotgun side by side bbls.  As far as I am concerned they are a great gun for hunting out to 100 yards and these rifles have a tendencie to really be a critter unto themselves.  The one I have the twist is 1:48 for the 50 and 54,58 bbls.  Both bbls on these are regulated to roughly 70 to 75 yards.  Meaning they will shoot to a point of aim and will be close to each other(cross over).  You can shoot either roungball or connicals in them but have found that the conicals that shoot the best are the ones that are short for caliber.  Meaning the .50 shoots around a 350 grain the best in mine,and the .58 is in the 500 grain range.  Powder varies from around 80 to 100 depending on what it is that I am attempting to do.
     I sould start out with a patched ball with 70 grains and a 50 yard LARGE target( as in 4'x4'.with a small black center.  Use the rearmost sight and see where both bbls shoot at this point.  Now you have a referance point to start from.  It is going to take some work and some range time but in the end will be well worth it.  Mine has been known to give me fits at times but it has taken several deer over the years.  The buffalo bullets(conicals) seem to shoot the best in mine and they are prelubed.  Good luck and dont be afraid to keep at it.  There are also several others on here that have them and probalbly shoot thiers better than I do so I hope they inturn put in thier comments also.  If you have additional dont be afraid to send me a private message and i will see if I can find my reloading data(moved last year and still finding things )..................stay safe...King
