A co-worker and I went for a yote hunt a month a go. He brought his Wildlife Technologies electronic call. During the first set we had 5 yotes come up over the hill. They snuck down the bottom of the canyon and only the one came up right below us where we could take a shot. He had a better shot than I did (plus I had my scope cranked to 9 power) and took this yote. The other varmints put the sneak on us. Tough to see them is this type of terrain.
I put a good hit on a yote earlier in the year with my 17HMR Handi at a 165 yrds. Just not enough energy from that little bullet to put him down and I couldnt find the carcass. My 17 is one of my most favorite guns to shoot. It is great fun on ground squirrels out to 200 yrds. Going p-dogn next month so I purchased this 223 UV. I cant wait to try it out on those little bounders along with more yotes. [/img]
