Hunting 'trailer' ?

Just curious, anyone here pull a trailer on their outings?  I've got a Wrangler, that get's me where I want to go, but it doesn't really have much room to bring anything back.  Been looking into some of those old style teardrop trailers (because of the divorce  ::) )and just figured a little trailer might make sense.  Any input would be appreciated.

Teardrops, both old and new, are pretty costly. I think one of the most useful small utility trailers are those made from a pick-up bed. Put a used canopy on it and you've got a water tight sleeping/storage area, lift off the canopy and you can haul tall stuff. Just a thought.

The down side to pickup beds is they are heavy.  The up sides are they haul a lot and can be closed up with a topper.

Around here travel trailers come up for sale frequently, and if you look at a few on the side of the road for sale you may frind one that is well worn but cost effective (couple hundred bucks) that may fill the bill.

Around here the older camper trailers in the 18-20 ft. sizes are pretty inexpensive.  I once had one for hunting.  It was much better for sleeping and cooking than a tent, there was plenty of space to haul my gear, food, clothing and stands.  Would that work for you?

Been thinking about an older camper type trailer, but they're a bit over my budget around here..at least the ones that are worth it.  Not really sure how big I would want to go on a trailer though.  Not sure how easy the jeep would pull something fairly large.

My dad has a 16' camping trailer - single axle that he can haul with his Impala - 2006 and it can sleep 6 people.

If money was a issue, and by that - I would say that my dad only paid $800 for his 1972 trailer 15 years ago.  I would go to Tractor Supply and buy a open 6 x 8 or  8 x 8 trailer and just put a tarp over it and put all your stuff in the trailer and then use a tent and then you can use the trailer to haul home what ever you get hunting.
