41 mag and H110
« on: April 22, 2005, 07:57:51 AM »
I just started handloading for a 41 mag barrel I got this winter.  I have been using 20gr of H110 that was stated on the can.  I have not done any chrono work on it yet but seems pretty good.  I have seen on the internet at some different forums where people are using 22.9gr of H110.  Any body else using this or close to this load?  Seems high to me but since I am just starting to work with this cartridge I don't know.

Depends on the weight of the bullet. I would not go above what the can says- those are max loads. :D

In my 14" contender I use 21.0gr with a 210gr silhouette bullet, in my 4" 657 S&W I never went over 19.0gr with a 210gr JHP.

I hope that helps.
