I've got a Uberti regulator, 45 colt, with a 7 1/2" barrel. I also have a 4 3/4", 45 colt barrel, off of a Uberti cattleman. The Cattleman has 20 TPI, but I don't know about the regulator. Since they are from the same company, both SAA clones, same caliber, doesn't it make sense that the company would probably not change the thread pattern in similar products? Has anyone swapped out barrels on these two revolvers? :?

Even if the threads are the same which they probably are, the proximity of the front sight blade to where the threads start would be another issue. You might tighten the barrel and find the front blade pointing left or right. Or worse yet.....down.

Hey FLASH. You know, I feel pretty stupid now. I was so worried about TPI, I didn't even think about the sight blade. Thanks for the reality smack. Two Bellies

Any barrel would need fitting. Getting the sight in the right place is fairly easy. A bit off the shoulder to aligh the front sight. Then set the barrel cylinder gap and ream a forcing cone. You still have to refit the ejector rod housing... It's not a screw one on screw one off kinda deal..
