7.62x39/7.62x54R question
« on: April 30, 2005, 08:01:20 AM »
Just a question. I've been hearing about H&R making barrels for the handi-rifle chambered for 7.62x39. Is this true? If so, could it be reamed out to 7.62x54R?

Yes, and it could also be rechambered to 303 British and 7.65x53.

It still remains to be seen whether they bore them at  .308" or .311", both bore sizes have been confirmed by H&R, so who knows until they actually sell one to one of us.... :?

Are both of those bore diameters compatible with 7.62x54R? One better  than the other?

.308 is better because it has more bullets available
