Serious casting Blues

Yesterday heard some real wierd noises comming from my Lee V melting pot and today It won't heat up changed out the thermistat , and heating element.I knew one day it would just wither and die, well thats changed but the thing will not do right  even thinking I crossed the wires or somthing  that didn't work either gee I had that melting pot for 15 years and used it at the minamum of 4 days a week. is that what you call service or what well now I have  to get another  oh well and I'm going to give it a warriors burial . bb75

They may not last forever, but are inexpensive to replace. Sounds like you got good service out of yours.

Odd you should mention that. My 10lb pot gave up the ghost daybefore yesterday. It was the one I use for casting for my B/P stuff (have a 20lb also) It developed a leak around the base of the pour spout. As with yours, mine was around the same vintage. Guess they just dont make things like they use to.  :D
Oh well, gonna get another 20 pounder as am doing a lot more B/p shooting and casting for the kids and a couple friends.
