Well I am no smith (not yet :wink: -perhaps one day) But a good read none the less. This fella did a good job. Not something I would go through the trouble, but to each his own.

Uh oh....that's a bad here, notice the asterisks in the URL....Graybeard will not have any kind words about them, at all. I'd modify the post and delete the URL....not a very competent smith from what I've read here.

That's a goofy cartridge. I would just stick to .308 Winchester. But a cool rifle just the same. Very cool.

Sorry guys,, guess I stuck my foot in it again. Seems a way of life for me. Didn't have any idea there had been any trouble with the guy, just thought someone might be interested in the way he went about the barrel work.
