EoTech verse Bushnell Holosight

I have a Bushmaster A3 16" that I want to mount a holosight on.  It will be used just as a "fun" gun, and I really like the quick sight acquisition of the holosights.

The EoTech and Bushnell look alike and I have even heard they are made by the same manufacture, what are the differences besides about 80 bucks in price?

I understand the EoTech is "milspec" which I suppose it means it is more durable, but if you are not working in a harsh military environment does that extra durability really matter.

Anyone who has had actual experience with both sights your comments would be very welcome.

i own several sight systems i have a bushnell, and an eotech as well as acog, reflex sight and aimpoints

the eotechs are nice the bushy is same unit less a drop shroud if you drop it,   my personal choice and duty use is an aimpoint comp2  longer battery life less cluttered reticle and my times are faster to engament and long range hits are much eaiser!

I have  used them all and all are good choices

I lean heavy on the aimpoints
