I see these pre-loaded Goex Black Dawg black powder shells advertised in my Blackpowder Hunting Magazine, but can`t find them anywhere. Has anyone tried them? Especially in .45/70? Any good? Costs? Where can I get them? Thanks-Jack.

Not wanting to knock Goex but to get the most out of any BPCR you need to tailor your loads to your rifle. That means you need to reload your own. The initial set up is a bit expensive however in the long run you will save money because these rifles are so much fun to shoot you will find yourself spending allot more time at the range shooting!

I live about 25 miles north of the Burg and have a Shiloh #1 Sporter in 45-110. Maybe we could get together someday and make smoke.

I would love that!! I just got a H&R BC .45/70. I have everything to reload, but I wanted to have a little fun first before I get down to reloading :D 25 miles North eh. I belong to Millvale Sprtsmans Club in Wexford, are you anywhere close to there? I am also huge into Muzzleloaders and want to get Springfield 1861 or 1863 reproduction. Thank you-Jack.
