I just purchased a 38/55. What a hassle getting brass and bullets. Called Midway for cast bullets. Listed about $19.00. When I talked with the operator, I was told the price had increased to around $36 dollars :eek: because of the scarcity of lead. Brass is only produced seasonally and most places don't have anymore. If I would have know this I would have purchased another caliber. Any help as to where I can get these components at a reasonable price would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Ebay? believe it or not there are often some good deals there on both items you want.

Have bought 38-55 and 375 Win (even more rare) from there both were very reasonable.

At the top of the page is a groupof items, "Watched Topics" "FAQ" "Search" etc. One of this is "Private Messages", click on that and it will take you to your PM page
