Got my walking papers today
« on: April 08, 2005, 11:35:28 AM »
After many months of writing letters and trying to show the Army that my time has been up for a long time.  The powers to be agreed today giving me my retirement date of 30 April 2005.   Damn I'm gonna be uneployed next month.  Not really I'm going to stay in the area and go to work as a contractor where I'm at now. Hopefully this will give me some more time to hunt and fish.

Congarts short timer and thanks for your service to our country. We will definitely hook up for some hunting this year and maybe an adult beverage or two.

Congratulations Dave!!
I hope to be in your shoes in 5 years.  I came in straight out of high school, and am already a bit scared of how I will adapt to civilian life.  I'm used to being taken care of, yet held accountable for everything I do....what the hell is it going to be like on "the outside"??
The problem with troubleshooting is....sometimes it shoots back!
