Saeco Lubri sizer
« on: May 27, 2005, 02:54:22 PM »
I have a lubrisizer with all the equipment, bullets, and lube, but no instructions.  Would anyone know where I can get instructions from.  I mean I know nothing about lubing bullets other than the Lee method.

Do I take the cylinder out of the sizer and then run the bullets base down from the top?  Any help GREATLY appreciated.

Kind of got it figured out.  The guy I bought it from had the die upside down, probably because the lube grooves on a 308 bullet are so far down.  The 44 die had to be installed from the top for the groove holes to be near the 44 bullet lube grooves.

Now I feel like I accomplished something

Your gonna need a top punch as well as the sizing die.  Place the bullet on the sizing die and down ya go.  Pack the lube by unscrewing the top and screwing it down.  You will have to screw it down as you go to keep the pressure on the lube for your bullets.

Good choice...wonder if they make a die for a 50 cal round.

Thanks Medbill, I do have the top punch.  I finally got it figured out last night.  I did not know you could install the sizing die from the bottom.  When I turned it around, and installed it from the top, it works fine.  I am in business.

OH one more thing, make sure your top punch mates with your bullet as well as you can get it.  One way to to take a little epoxy and dab it into the punch and put the bullet in but don't let it dry in there.  Now you have a custom fitted top punch.

Oh yeah, your very welcome...

Lube on gas check bottom.

One more question Medbill,

There is a little lube on the bottom of the gas check after it has been run through the sizer. Do I have to have that completely clean off the check before I load? Will the powder stick to it and cause a problem? It is not caked on or anything like that, but just smeared.

Thanks for all the help.  I can't wait to load em up!

Hey Possum,

Ask away, that what this place is all about.  I clean mine off and then hand seat them on my loaded cases over a fiber wad.  I just have a towel next to the sizer and just wipe them on the way over to the bullet box or case.
