I knew I had some somewhere and today I found it. JB Bore Paste. But it looked funny, and there was absolutely no abrasiveness to it at all. Does it ever go bad? I think I've had it for about 15 years or so.
Ohhhh, I hate when that happens

The non-embedding bore compound is made of diatomaceous earth and is a very mild abrasive. It has a brown layer on top with gray underneath right from JB....

So it maintains it's chemical integrity and never gets funky, right?

I would think so, as long as it doesn't separate.....maybe even then it wouldn't matter, I mix it with Kroil when I use it, so it gets well mixed anyway. It doesn't react chemically with the bore like Moly-fusion, it's just a mechanical polishing material.

Well, it did seperate, but mixed back up again. I guess it's OK.

Yep, just a very mild abrasive in a grease carrier. Just stir it back up and have at.
