There is some target shooting going on with this caliber, I thought maybe I turn the 223 into one. The barrel maker has all the tools for this caliber.

I shoot 32-20 a good bit, but only for enjoyment (sometimes frustration).  I have an 1889 Marlin, a Model 73 Winny and a Model 53 in this caliber.  Plinking and paper with factory loads.  I've got the dies, but haven't run any of my own yet.  I can hold 3-4 inch 100yd groups with either the 73 or 53 in 5 shots.  If I just keep shootin' at the same target 30 or 40 will stay in a 6 in circle, so its kinda fun.  My '89 Marlin is past its prime and keyholes Remington and Winny factory loads beyond 25 yds (Leading to the sometimes frustrating).  I've put some Black Hills thru it and they seem to at least stabilize.  The bore is pitted bad in the middle an its probably finicky about bullet diameter.  Thats likely the difference between the Rem/Win and the BHA loads.

I load for and shoot a Colt Army Special 5 inch revolver. Load 117 cast swc/gas check over 4.7 gr Unique. Barrel is worn but I've had no luck finding a replacement. Probably will have to have one made up. Would be fun to have in a Handi.

Lose on that one, Bob. I went with .25-20 for the stuff you might use .32-20 for. Not to say that I would not buy either a .32-20 or a .32 H&R Mag if one came my way.

Fred,

I have a few of them, a Winchester '92, a Dan Wesson, and a custom one off single shot target pistol, all in 32-20. A handy in 32-20 would be great if it had the .312 bore, but I bet they would do it like T/C and make it .308
