debris on inside lens after 2 shots

I just mounted my new burris 2x7 LER  posi lock handgun scope on my 454 casull 12" encore barrel.. Took it to the range and after the 2nd shot I noticed black specks on the lens. I suspected gun powder, tried to brush it off but it is debris on the inside of the lens.  On its way to burris for repair.  Anyone else had any problems with these scopes? Will burris fix this prob without any hassel?

I have the same scope without the Posi-lock.  I have heard of "flakes" inside of Burris scopes, but I have not yet experienced such problems.
