I went with the "Loaded Pistol" !!!
« on: May 01, 2005, 05:31:00 AM »
The more I thought about it, I decided to get the "Stainless PX9151L 45 ACP Loaded Pistol" instead of the "TRP" model. Like I said in one of my other threads, this is my first 1911. The "Loaded Pistol" just seemed like the right one to get for my first 1911!

I went to Gander Mountain yesterday morning with my father. He bought a new Smith & Wesson model 60. Its a stainless steel small frame 5 shot 357 Mag with a three inch barrel. I was looking at the "Loaded Pistol" when we were there. My wife and I went back there last night and I put the 1911 on layaway. I'll pick it up in a week or so!

That would be a great 1911 no matter how many one person might own.

You got your self a true lifer. You can also do little upgrades later if you would want. But, I really do not see the need for the upgrades, you got your self a fine pistol.

                  Good luck and have fun.

Thats a purdy one too.  You make me want another one maybe a 6" barreled one next.                                         BigBill

My only problem is I hate to carry them because there new??  I have a SA 1911a1 still new in the box since the 80's I take it out and shoot it very carefully at the range then it gets squeeky clean again and oiled up and put away till next time.

BigBill, I changed my mind and went with the Smith & Wesson SW1911 instead! The Smith & Wesson just seemed like a better choice "for me" anyway! I'm not saying anything bad about the Springfield. I'd be more then happy to go into detail if asked.
