Scope recommendation for Encore Pistol

Just purchased my first TC Pistol (Encore frame and forend)
Any recommendations on what scope and rings to put on ?
I prefer low maginication (2X -   4 or 6X).

If you want a regular scope, most guys prefer scopes by Burris or Leupold.  Especially if you shoot the heavy recoiling calibers, you'll want a scope that can withstand the recoil (and has a good warranty if it doesn't).

If you want a red dot, again the better scopes will last longer.  I have a Tasco red dot on a 15" .44 mag barrel that does okay for hunting, but the dot is about 4 MOA.  Okay for hunting, but not great if you are doing any long distance target shooting, such as for silhouette.

I use either the weaver style base and Warne QD rings or the Burris dual dovetail base with signiture rings. I have a shock proof T//C 3x scope in classified. Has electradot reticle and butler creek caps. The area I hunt in is high desert so a 200-300 yard shot is common and had to go to a higher magnifacation.

Warne rings and mounts and either a Ultra-dot or a Leupold 2x or 4x.

I have two Leupold  2x scopes one in a 209x50 contender barrel and the other is on a 375JDJ barrel. they both stand up well to the recoil. I feel they are a little under power for my needs. I ahve a tasco 2x on my ruger mark II and this is about right for this handgun.

I have now gotten 3 of the T/C 2.5-8 scopes and really starting to like them and one has the lighted cross hairs.  they have a great warranty . if you break them you just send them back.

You may be happier with a variable power scope in the long run. you Can always set it to the power you like and keep it there and if you ever find the need for more all you do is turn the dial.
