Received my main spring the other day and installed today. also replaced trigger return. and transfer bar spring. I took some time to fiqure out exactly how the trigger return spring was to be postioned. When I removed the side cover the trigger return spring was just sitting in there. Did not relazie the small end of the coiled spring fits in a cut out beneth the hammer assembley. One I figured it out, Trial and error,, real gentle like, It works great now. I tried the Ammo(UMC) that gave me the most trouble with misfires(light primer dent) Functions great. Even in double action mode. I had just purchased it cheap and would not fire reliabley in double action mode, Primers dented but less so than those that worked. Replaced main spring and works great. cycled 80 rounds no problem. Average two mis fires per cylinder before. The new spring, Which was a factory spring provided by Numirich was shorter but of a larger wire size. One thing I noticed is not to put too much tension on the spring as it would push too hard and not let the trigger engage properly. Just back it of and you can feel the proper tension by cocking the hamer slowly. All in all , a good day. Shot good groops at twenty yards. Now I have to work on POA and POI. Fixed sights. These problems are the likley reason I paid 180 for it. I think I will be happy as soon as I get it to shoot straight.
