I just purchased some 158 gr. jsp bullets, .357 caliber.They were inexpensive enough I figure I would try them once. Anybody try these or other magtech bullets and if so, what did you think?

I found the cases split a lot. I have shot the 454 Casull from Magtech. I won't reload there brass.

Sorry :oops: I read your post again and you were talking about there bullets. No I have not tried there bullets.

Yes, I was talking about the bullets but, thanks for the info about the brass as I found that very helpful. I have been using starline brass and found it to be very good.

I have bought there 44 mag ammo with 240 jsp for hunting and shooting. I needed to build up a supply of cases for reloads also. Have had no problems with the cases in reloading warm 240 jacket and hard cast loads, some have cycled 3x.

I've heard from a very reliable source that they use more of the harder metals and less copper in their jackets which could lead to premature barrel wear. That is why their bullets have a orange tint to them other than a copper appearance.
Just what I was told.

:cb2: My only experience has been with their .44 mag. ammo, and it realy shoots great in the guns I have tried them in. Would readily hunt with them if I had to.

I've used their ammo in my .45 ACP; clean, very accurate and no jams. Good inexpensive target ammo. I don't reload that caliber yet, so I can't speak for the brass.
