New Tactics and Lures
« on: April 02, 2007, 02:12:33 PM »
Well, I need to tell you good folks that I'm dying to get out on the water this year.  Lord willing, next week will be the beginning of the fishing season for me.

What new tactic or lure are you looking forward to trying this year?  Tactic: For me, it is learning to fish lakes.  I do fairly well on the local rivers but high water levels kept me off of them this past year.  Lures: I starting throwing XRaps at the very end of the season last year with good results.  I hope to do even better this year.

Happy Easter!

I'm with you on the lakes, though I usually do pretty good with spinners and jigs, I need to get better with flies in still water.  I usually fly fish just streams and rivers, and some lakes, but when it gets though, I always move to spinners instead of learning what works and what to do with the fly in still water.  Really, I need to get the patience to move nymphs slower in lakes.
