Whitehouse Security Weapons
« on: May 11, 2005, 09:49:00 AM »
I was looking at the Yahoo Headlines and it was showing
one of the Whitehouse security detail carrying an
HK G36 rifle! Whats up with this? Our government sends
us into harms way armed with the POS M16 but the
Whitehouse is guarded with G36's !
Something is wrong here!

Sounds like someone in our goverment must finally know something about guns or they just don't trust their lives with the POS M16 too?     BigBill

Not supprising.  If what I have read is correct the Seals and some of the other special forces groups use other weapons than standard military issue. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

I think that Iraq and the Afghan battles have finally
woke some folks up. I have seen the new 6.8 mm
cartridge that some of the special forces are using now.
It shows promise but they need to design a new weapon
around it. I think our guys got tired of being hit by DRAGUNOVS
long before they could hit back with their M-16's.
The M-14 is now out of retirement for that reason also.
Bring back a good .45 handgun and the old K-Bar and
our troops might just be set to fight on better terms after that!
